James Zero – Fear of Heights

James Zero, from Gallitzin, PA, United States, has released his latest single, “Fear of Heights”.

James is an exceptionally talented multi-instrumentalist, confidently taking on the roles of singer, songwriter, bassist, guitarist, and drummer in his music. In addition to his other roles, he also serves as a producer and mixer, managing every facet of his work from recording to mastering.

His influences span across rock icons like My Chemical Romance and EDM visionaries such as Madeon, resulting in a unique fusion that captivates listeners worldwide.

“Fear of Heights” is a captivating track that explores the exhilarating highs of drug-induced euphoria and the paralyzing grip of acrophobia. With haunting melodies and evocative lyrics, it contrasts the thrill of soaring with the dread of falling, creating a vivid soundscape through intricate production.

Recorded at Winter Station Studios in Pennsylvania, USA, this track showcases the impressive collaboration between James Zero, RJ Pasin and Leighton Antelman. It boldly contrasts James’ usual brighter sound, delivering a compelling and darker musical experience.

With a quote from James Zero himself dubbing it his “emo magnum opus”.

It is inspired by the gritty sounds of early 2000s rock songs that were downloaded off of limewire, which was usually low quality but awesome. The rest of the album is much pop-ier and brighter but this song is the darkest one”.

The one negative about this track is… It’s not long enough! I wanted more after listening to it a few times!
