Lost Like Lions – Is It True?

After a two-year hiatus, alternative pop rock band Lost Like Lions has just dropped their latest track, “Is It True?”.

For fans of The Starting Line and The Dangerous Summer.

Lost Like Lions was formed in the spring of 2014, following the breakup of Derrik’s previous band, This is Fiction. Derrik (Vocals/Guitar) started writing songs during that time. In the summer of the same year, he traveled to Los Angeles to record the debut EP “The Way of The World,” which included guest vocals from Aj Perdomo (The Dangerous Summer).

Fast forward to the Summer of 2018, Derrik and Jamie ran into each other at a local music show in their hometown of Buffalo, NY. This is where the first discussions began regarding reforming Lost Like Lions and released music regularly for the next four years.

2023 became a quiet time for the band as numerous members went through life changing events like newborns, weddings, new jobs etc.

Get ready for an epic comeback! The band is gearing up for an explosive year with new music and a fresh EP “The Thoughts Inside My Head” which is set to drop in the Winter of 2025. Their latest single “Is It True?” is just the beginning of what’s to come.

Derrik had this to say about their new music,

“It feels so good to finally have new music lined up, we have been gone and off everybody’s radar for a few years. It’s not an ideal spot to be in the digital age, but we are excited to get back out there.”

“Is It True?” instantly transports me back to the early 2000s, evoking the nostalgic emo sound of bands like Armor For Sleep and The Early November. This track resonates deeply with me, striking a chord at my core.

This is definitely a must-listen! It’s one of the top releases of the year for me, without a doubt.

Show Lost Like Lions some love and follow them on their socials and streaming platforms.

We’ve added “Is It True?” to our alternative rock playlist ‘Punkio’s Alternative Rock Picks’.
