Thomas Nicholas Band – We’re Gonna Be Okay

Actor (known for playing Kevin in the  American Pie film series) and pop-punk musician Thomas Nicholas has recently released his new album ‘We’re Gonna Be Okay’, on May 17th, via SBÄM Records in Europe.

TNB’s new album ‘We’re Gonna Be Okay’ has some very well known artist features, including; Jaret Reddick (Bowling for Soup), Ace Enders (the Early November), Matthew Kennedy (The Dangerous Summer) Zac Burnett (American Authors), Ayron Jones and more.

Nostalgia is the word that comes to mind from the get go, taking you back to the early 2000s, when pop punk and pop rock was at its best. To me the sound of the album mixes the two genres, giving you vibes from artists like Bowling For Soup, and you may disagree, but Matchbox Twenty and Everclear as well. Also, I definitely get Dave Grohl from Thomas’s vocals on the odd track.

Some of the songs that stand out to me are ‘ Better Than Home’, Never Enough’,  ‘We’re Gonna Be Ok’, and ‘Give Em What They Want’. Don’t get me wrong the rest of them are brilliant, making this album an ‘Album Of The Year’ contender for sure.

My favourite track off the album is for sure the title track ‘We’re Gonna Be Okay’, written with and featuring the legendary Jaret Reddick from Bowling For Soup. You can feel the passion implemented towards talking about  mental health in this track. As you may be aware in recent years, Jaret has been a huge advocate for mental health in the music industry and this track just emphasises that even more.

It’s an album that needs to be enjoyed at least twice, if not more, to really feel the lyrics and take you back to the early 2000s.

For your information, Nicholas is still acting and producing full time, his recent TV series UNDERDEVELOPED with Tom Arnold premiered Sept 8, 2023. You can catch this series on Tubi, Amazon Freevee and Amazon Prime. His latest feature film entitled, ADVERSE, was released to theaters in 2021 by Lionsgate, where he plays opposite Mickey Rourke, Lou Diamond Phillips, Penelope Ann Miller and Sean Astin. Both the TV series and film have received high praise from critics and audiences.

Thomas Nicholas will be be touring Europe in support of the new LP, hitting both SBAM Fests as well as some shows with MEST and Mudfight!
