Connolly blends elements from the early sound of rock ‘n’ roll, ska music, nineties grunge, hints of R&B and pop punk, all while reflecting her unique personal experiences.
Piper’s natural talent and dedication have positioned her to make significant waves in the industry, even at such a young age.
Her debut single, “twisted play,” and its follow-up, “muse,” have received rave reviews from publications such as Girls’ Life, TresA Magazine, and Phoenix Media Pass.
“kiss like me” is a lively pop-punk anthem about having feelings for someone who is unfortunately interested in someone else. The heartfelt lyrics and energetic sound convey the intense emotions of adolescent love and yearning.
The song’s subject revolves around the challenges of persuading someone that they would be better off with you. As Connolly explains, it’s a “the grass is greener on THIS side” kind of song. The track explores the idea that although someone may seem perfect and have all the right qualities, they still don’t measure up to her. This is conveyed through its catchy lyrics and hooky guitars.
