Sarina – Break Out!!

Rising Japanese pop-punk artist Sarina unveils her newest EP titled Break Out!!

Building on the captivating singles “Living in the Moment” and “Skip a Beat,” this EP dives deep into Sarina’s innermost thoughts and emotions. It also showcases the bold and catchy new single “Why am I so sad?!” which adds an exciting edge to the collection.

The dynamic collection of songs is now available to stream and download worldwide.

Brought to life by the amazing Grammy-winning producer Erik Ron (who’s worked with I Prevail, Staind, and Bush) and the super talented Kevin Thrasher, guitarist of Escape the Fate (known for collaborating with Panic! At The Disco, Blink-182, and Avril Lavigne), the Break Out!! EP takes you on a journey through relatable experiences and emotions that Sarina dives into with each song. It’s definitely an EP you don’t want to miss!

The EP kicks off with fan favourites and previously released singles, “Living in the Moment” and “Skip a Beat.” In the powerful track “Hold Me,” Sarina boldly expresses her genuine feelings of longing, wasted potential, and the drive to overcome feelings of inadequacy. With a fist-in-the-air chorus and infectious energy right from the start, “Why Am I So Sad?!” marks a high point in Sarina’s musical journey, showcasing her growth as a songwriter and performer. She fully embraces the moments when she… “we feel sad for no discernible reason…and sometimes the best thing we can do is laugh at it.”

The EP wraps up with what Sarina calls her ‘cutest song’ so far, “I Know Nothing.” It’s a great tune that captures the struggles of understanding life and embraces the surprise challenges that come our way.

“It’s a song about recognising how little we will ever truly know in life. Life is uncontrollable and often unexpected and what we know can be defenestrated with the same gravitas as a cartoon banana peel. Something about that is ridiculous and wonderful and so comforting,”

Sarina explains.

Born in Hawaii, and now living in Tokyo, where she was raised by her Lebanese mother and Japanese father. From a young age, she was enchanted by music and the joy of creative expression. With a playful spirit, she dove into learning various instruments like the piano, guitar, ukulele, drums, and bass, seamlessly weaving them into her musical adventures.

Her debut single, “Identity,” made a splash upon its release under the Sony RED label, where she followed up with five more singles and an EP titled “Foreword”. She also directed and storyboarded six music videos, showcasing her original concepts and meticulous symbolism. In May 2024, she took a bold step by co-founding and launching the SyrenSong label. Sarina has quickly gained recognition for her music, securing prime spots on Ones To Watch’s Now Watching and Apple Music’s New in Rock playlists.

Immerse yourself in Sarina’s pop-punk world by listening to the Break Out!! EP, now available on all digital streaming platforms. Stay connected to Sarina by following her on her socials below.
