Dead Tooth – Birthday Boohoo

US post punk band Dead Tooth have recently released a new single ‘Birthday Boohoo’ on 18th October via Greenway Records.

Dead Tooth are Zach Ellis (guitar/vox), James Duncan (bass), Taylor Mitchell (guitar), Ginno Tacsiat (drummer) and John Stanesco (saxophone/EWI).

FFO Refused, At The Drive-in and in some songs Royal Republic.

‘Birthday Boohoo’ has been released on 7” vinyl, and has been produced by Tom Beaujour (Nada Surf, Pom Pom Squad, Juliana Hatfield) with a remix by A Place To Bury Strangers vocalist Oliver Ackermann as the B-Side.

“This is our most collaborative piece of music to date. It kind of feels like something we molded out of clay together; each one of our hands shaping it in some way. To have a song so representational of the group being put out on this really unique & beautiful vinyl feels very special. The song itself couldn’t be more a Frankenstein level horror unless of course you gave it to someone like Ollie from A Place to Bury Strangers to really chop and screw. Happy Halloween”.

DEAD TOOTH – OCTOBER 2024

With strong backing from both NME and Spin magazine, the band is ready to make waves with their upcoming extensive European tour. They will entertain audiences with three highly anticipated UK shows in November: on the 15th at London’s Shacklewell Arms, the 16th in Manchester at Big Hands, and the 17th at Nottingham’s Saltbox. Don’t miss out!

“We’ve always felt like we’d fit right into the UK. Mostly in respects to the outpouring of sick music coming from there. Cheers mates! We’ll see ya bloody soon”

DEAD TOOTH – OCTOBER 2024

Dead Tooth’s sound powerfully disrupts the dystopian landscape. This self-proclaimed “rodeo-core” quintet from Queens, NY, effortlessly combines high-energy hooks, bold lyrics, and gritty saxophone leads to create an electrifying live performance. Their dynamic style has earned them well-deserved comparisons to iconic bands like Refused, At the Drive-In, and The Jesus Lizard. Prepare to be captivated.

The band has been on the road for most of the past two years, joining forces with renowned acts like Bass Drum Of Death, The Bobby Lees, and Dino Gala, and delivering two unforgettable performances at SXSW.
