Two Strikes – Control

Yorkshire, UK-based Alternative Rock trio Two Strikes have dropped their debut single “Control’.

Two Strikes has a unique sound influenced by bands like Muse, Foo Fighters, QOTSA, Soundgarden, Manic Street Preachers, and the Black Parade Era My Chemical Romance, amongst others. Their slightly indie-sounding vocals set them apart, and this distinctive sound will surely propel them to success in the industry.

Blending rock riffs with alternative melodic sensibilities, “Control” is poised to be the ultimate alternative underground anthem of the summer.

The song delves into the intense emotions surrounding oppression and the profound human longing for validation.

It’s a song for anyone who has been trapped by external pressures but has the power to take charge of their destiny.

It’s inspired by real-life events and has a dark lyrical theme with an intense and energetic musical arrangement.

The band had this to say about their music,

“We believe that the best music changes you when you listen; changes how you feel moves you, maybe even changes your life, and we strive to make sure that we pour every ounce of ourselves into each song, delivering our authentic selves to create songs with real power and meaning”.

The production of “Control” by Chris Coulter, of The Arch Studio (known for his work with IDLES, Arcane Roots, and Jamie Lenman) ensures that Two Strikes is making a strong impact on the industry right from the start.

The artwork is the creation of the talented artist Tom Merton-Jones, who has expertly brought Two Strike’s concepts to life in a truly exciting and tangible manner. His work is set to give each release a powerful visual meaning, enhancing the narratives of the songs and enabling them to deeply resonate and connect with the band’s audience.

“Control” is an impactful track that confidently sets the tone for their debut, definitively establishing the direction of their music. I am eagerly anticipating the exciting future of this band as they further develop their distinctive alternative rock sound.

It’s a track that will certainly end up on many listeners’ “On Repeat” Spotify playlists!

Show your support by following Two Strikes on their social and streaming platforms.

We’ve added ‘Control’ to our Spotify playlist ‘Punkio’s Alternative Rock Picks’.
